How do I create a new spinner wheel?

To create a new wheel, click the "New Wheel" button in the header. This will reset the wheel to its default configuration (with standard name options and colors) so you can start customizing it from scratch.

How do I spin the wheel?

Simply click anywhere directly on the wheel or press the spacebar to spin it. The wheel will spin with a realistic, physics-based velocity curve and gradually slow down to select a random outcome.

Can I save my custom wheels?

Yes! All wheels are automatically saved locally in your browser's database. You can access and manage them via the "Open Wheel" menu at the top of the page.

Is my data saved online or shared?

No, Spinner-Wheels.com prioritizes your privacy. All your wheels, settings, and spin results are stored entirely client-side in your browser's IndexedDB. No data is ever sent to or stored on our servers.

How do I change names or options?

You can edit options using two inputs. In the Advanced tab, you can click any entry field to edit, delete, or upload an image. Alternatively, in the Text tab, you can paste or enter a list of items one per line. Both lists synchronize automatically.

How can I change slice colors?

In Advanced mode, click the customize icon (the palette icon) next to any option to set a custom color. You can also pick from our preset palettes (such as Sunset Vibes or Ocean Breeze) under the Customize panel to instantly color the entire wheel.

Can I add weights to options?

Yes! Navigate to the Settings tab in the side panel and turn on "Enable Weights". A weight input field will appear next to each option in Advanced mode, allowing you to make specific slices larger or smaller.

Can I customize the background or hub?

Yes, under the Customize tab, you can configure the page background to a solid color, a premium gradient, or upload a custom background image. You can also modify the center hub type (Solid Color, Gradient, or Custom Image) to match your design.

Can I upload images to slices?

Yes! In Advanced mode, click the image icon next to any option to upload an image. You can mix text-only, image-only, and text-with-image slices on the same wheel.

How do I mute or adjust volume?

You can toggle sounds globally using the speaker/audio icon in the header. To fine-tune the volume, go to the Settings tab in the side panel where you will find dedicated volume sliders for both the spin ticking sound and the end sound.

What spinning sounds are available?

We support standard ticking sounds, classic classical piano pieces (including Chopin's Waltz, Turkish March, and Fur Elise), or custom audio files that you upload.

Can I upload a custom stop sound?

Yes! Under the Settings tab, set the "Sound After Spin" option to "Custom Upload" and select your own audio file (such as MP3 or WAV) from your computer.

Where can I see results history?

Click the "Results" tab in the side panel. It stores a list of all winning selections, along with a counter showing how many times each option has won during your current session.

How do I export spin results?

In the "Results" tab, click the "Export Results" button. You can select to download your full spin history as a CSV, TXT, or JSON file.

Can I auto-remove winning options?

Yes, you can enable the auto-remove feature in the Settings panel, or manually delete the winner from the pop-up modal that appears after the spin finishes.

Can I sort the results?

Yes, you can sort your results alphabetically, by win count, or in chronological order using the sort dropdown inside the Results tab.

What is a Mystery Wheel?

A Mystery Wheel hides the text of all slices, displaying question marks instead. The winning slice is only revealed when the wheel comes to a complete stop, making it perfect for suspenseful games and quizzes.

What is the Manual Shuffle option?

Enabling Manual Shuffle lets you drag and reorder the options manually in the Advanced list, rather than using the random shuffle button.

How do I import a large list of names?

Click the "Import" button next to the input area to upload a text or CSV file, or paste a list of items directly in Text mode.

Can I import structured wheel data (Name, Weight, Color, Image)?

Yes! You can import a pre-designed custom wheel with specific slice colors, custom weights, and slice images. To do this, format your CSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), or plain text (.txt) file with headers in the first row. The system supports the following column names (case-insensitive):

• Name (or "Text"): The display text for the slice.
• Weight: The slice weight (relative probability).
• Hex Color (or "Color", "Hex"): The solid color for the slice in hex format (e.g., #FF5733).
• Image URL (or "Image", "URL"): The URL of the image to display on the slice.

Example CSV format:

When you upload the file, the custom weights, colors, and image links will be loaded in one click. Make sure "Enable Weights" and "Enable Colors" are turned on in settings to see them.

The wheel is lagging or spinning slowly.

Ensure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser settings. Large background images or having too many browser tabs open can also affect rendering performance.

My saved wheels disappeared.

Since wheels are saved locally in the browser's database, clearing your browser history, cache, or using Private/Incognito mode may delete your saved data.

Is Spinner-Wheels.com free to use?

Yes, the tool is completely free, open source, and does not require registration, sign-ups, or any premium subscriptions.
